Blast at Beulah

2012 Blast at BeulahBring the entire family to experience one of the premier central Ohio celebrations of American independence. Enjoy live entertainment. Children’s activities are provided by Grove City Parks and Recreation and T.W.I.G. 184 beginning at 6 p.m. Admission is free, and parking is $5.

Bring a lawn chair and a picnic or purchase food and beverages on site. This is an alcohol-free event; coolers are subject to searches, and tailgating in the parking lot is prohibited. Pets other than service dogs are not permitted in the venue.

Fireworks start at approximately 10 p.m. and will be accompanied by a radio simulcast.

Fryer Flicks on the Hill – “Cars 2″

Grove City Outdoor MoviesEach Thursday, from June 14-August 2, a family-friendly movie will be shown at dusk on the sledding hill at, 3899 Orders Road. Be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair. Attendees may bring snacks (no glass); ice cream and popcorn will be sold. For more information, call the Grove City Parks and Recreation office at 614-277-3050. Grove City 2012 Wine and Art Festival

Grove City Wine and Art FestivalCome to the Historic Town Center and enjoy a day of wine tasting from Ohio wineries, great artworks, and local food trucks!

The event kicks off at 11 am and will go on to 10 pm. There will be music in the plaza throughout the afternoon and at 7 pm enjoy a Summer Sizzle concert. 

There is no cost for admission to the event.

Wine tasting is $15.00 for 8 tasting tickets and a specialized wine glass to the first 500 people to attend. One ticket will be good for one tasting per ticket and two tickets for one tasting of Ice Wines.

If you like the wine you are tasting you can then purchase that wine directly from the vendor. There will be no consumption on purchased bottles in the event area.

Arts in the Alley

Our 32nd Annual Arts in the Alley Music and Arts Festival will be held on
September 17 &18, 2011
More than 100 juried exhibitors are expected to fill the downtown streets with fine art, brilliant photography, exquisite jewelry and crafts, fabric art, design in glass and unique pottery.  Arts in the Alley food vendors are limited to local non-profit and community organization, providing an opportunity to fundraise for their group.

Mud Volleyball Tournament

Registration Open for August 6 Mud Volleyball Tournament

The 22nd annual Grove City Mud Volleyball will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6 at Beulah Park, 3811 Southwest Blvd. This “muddy good time” benefits LifeCare Alliance’s Meals-on-Wheels program, which provides meals to local shut-ins. In 2010, the event raised nearly $4,000 for the non-profit.

Teams of six can register for $150 per team at City Hall until Wednesday, Aug. 3. All team members must be 18 and older with a minimum of two women on each team. The tournament is single elimination; each team is guaranteed at least three matches. No coolers are permitted, and teams will not be re-admitted if they leave the courts.

The Big Splash

The Big Splash, 2831 Southwest Blvd., is a seasonal, municipal, family aquatic facility. Grove City’s renowned waterpark features a large zero-depth entrance, interactive water toys, two large body slides, a tot slide, a six-lane lap pool and two aquatic climbing walls. Patrons also enjoy a sand play area, funbrellas, green space and lounge chairs. The climbing walls, installed in 2010, won third place in Ohio in the physical programming category at the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association Awards.

Patrons are asked to please review the facility’s rulesPlease note, personal-size coolers are permitted, but pizza boxes are prohibited.

The Big Splash will open for the 2011 season on Saturday, May 28.
